FREEBIEEEEEEE 2.0
It’s freebie time, folks. We’re giving away (and it breaks our hearts to do this) a Princesse K silk ikat bag so clean it actually squeaks. All you need to do is answer the following questions and mail your responses to styleus.india@gmail.com। Contest on for 48 hours only…. or I get to keep the bag ;-)
1) Who is the designer behind the brand, Princesse K?
2) The designer earned her masters in a foreign country. Which one?
P.S. Bags on display are representational. We need to leave somethings for suspense now, don't we? We won't tell you which bag it is, but check out this link and lust your heart out. http://princessek.com/

The (delayed) report card
Ok, so we’re almost a week behind schedule for reports from Lakme Fashion Week. But a classic newspaper rule saved the day- Stock enough skin and all will be forgiven.
Secret S&M lovers can come out of the closet in these bondage style leather dresses by Vizyon.
Holi madness at Shyamal and Bhumika. I have a feeling my friend Ashi is going to try and make this on her own.
Working out never looked hotter! Shantanu and Nikhil for Adidas was clearly one of the sexiest collection this season. And the best part? You won’t need to sell your kidneys to own it
If you dare to bare, check out Sabyasachi’s translucent collection with all manner of bras and undies poking through. Sheer genius!
Nikasha’s edible colour palatte threw out apricots, tomato reds, haldi yellow and vanilla tones. Why do I have a sudden craving for a gelato?
Didn’t get to see Nachiket Barve’s show, but I’ll take everyone’s word for it when they say it was exciting as always.
Malini Ramani’s show was a journey through Mexico, France, India and Africa, though we would have gladly sacrificed the first leg of that tour. One fun word we learnt though, Bombabe.
The big catch of the season, Christopher Kane’s sweet ‘Dorothy in gingham’ look didn’t impress as many people as he probably expected to.
Anupama Dayal’s Goa-gal-goes-shopping-in-Ibiza look was getting her rave reviews. What do you think?
If you can take your eyes of the toned tummy for a minute, appreciate Anita Dongre’s surprisingly sex-kittenish collection in ‘virginal’ white.
Lotsa leg at Anand Kabra. My colleague Sujata claims she would have killed the model to steal the bandage dress she was wearing. Yikes!
Next up: A chance to win a too-cute-to-bear silk ikat bag by upcoming brand Princess K. It was first flaunted at Fashion Week. Watch this space for more…

A friend in deed
The fabulous team that made it all happen :Zenia Kapadia, Sabena Chhabria, Sneha Chainani, model Ritika Shetty and photographer Kunal Kampani. We couldn't have done it without you...
When you've got nothing to lose, it's time to pull out all the stops. It was almost as difficult as turning vegetarian but all that begging, pleading, whining and moaning paid off. Model-in-a-moment Zenia works the camera for the very first time. I'm qouting Stevie Wonder here : Isn't she lovely.

Shoe Porn: edition 2.0
Waiting for the lovely Ritika to show up (traffic, they all say), the patient artiste Kunal took these shots that have only aggravated an acute case of shoe lust. Giuseppe Zanotti and me shooting the breeze inside multi-designer store Muse… Only a giant slice of Oreo cheesecake could have made this better.

Shoe porn
Lakmé Fashion Week teasers are spilling out of the closet. Turns out shoemakers Tresmode, one of the official sponsors, will match their footwear with runway designs, including Anand Kabra’s deviously stunning creations. The best part - The shoes will be officially launched in stores as part of their resort line. Book your stiletto now…
Doesn’t the brown one look suspiciously like a particular Gucci Spring/summer 2009 heel popular with the Bollywood brigade…
