The (delayed) report card

Ok, so we’re almost a week behind schedule for reports from Lakme Fashion Week. But a classic newspaper rule saved the day- Stock enough skin and all will be forgiven.

Malini Ramani’s show was a journey through Mexico, France, India and Africa, though we would have gladly sacrificed the first leg of that tour. One fun word we learnt though, Bombabe.


The big catch of the season, Christopher Kane’s sweet ‘Dorothy in gingham’ look didn’t impress as many people as he probably expected to.

When you've got nothing to lose, it's time to pull out all the stops. It was almost as difficult as turning vegetarian but all that begging, pleading, whining and moaning paid off. Model-in-a-moment Zenia works the camera for the very first time. I'm qouting Stevie Wonder here : Isn't she lovely.

Waiting for the lovely Ritika to show up (traffic, they all say), the patient artiste Kunal took these shots that have only aggravated an acute case of shoe lust. Giuseppe Zanotti and me shooting the breeze inside multi-designer store Muse… Only a giant slice of Oreo cheesecake could have made this better.
